An Inventory of Event Generators for Linear Collider Physics

Thorsten Ohl
University of Wuerzburg

This document looks very different from Torbjörn's version, but there still remain a lot of links that have to be updated. Stay tuned ...

This document collects information about and WWW-links to computer codes for Linear Collider Physics. The purpose of this document is two-fold:
  1. provide a comprehensive listing of all relevant codes
  2. provide suggestions for the European study group preparing the Technical Design Report for a detector for Linear Collider Physics
For the first purpose, we expect fruitful cross-pollination with the corresponding world wide efforts and the other regional efforts in the Americas and Asia.

If you don't agree with some of the assessments regarding the second purpose, please send mail to me (Thorsten Ohl (<ohl@physik.uni-wuerzburg.de>, home page: http://theorie.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de/~ohl/)), so that we can resolve the issue. If a program's features are misrepresented, it can be either the fault of incomplete documentation or, more likely, the fault of my ignorance. Both problems should be trivial to correct.

I have tried to err on the conservative side, i. e. it should be more likely that a feature has been implemented reliably by a particular code and missing here, than the other way around.

We hope that ambitious generator authors (i.e. authors who want their programs to be taken seriously) will add some sample main programs for runs at linear colliders, in addition to the program code itself and the documentation.
